Synopsis

 Balthazar Blake is a powerful sorcerer living in modern-day Manhattan. He is trying to defend the city against his sworn enemy, Maxim Horvath. Unable to do it alone, Balthazar hires - somewhat reluctantly - Dave Stutler, a seemingly ordinary boy with real potential, to become his apprentice. The wizard gives his reluctant apprentice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these two unlikely partners will try to stop the forces of darkness. It will take all of Dave's courage, and then some, to survive his training, save the city, and kiss the girl he loves...
