Synopsis

Ash , Misty , and Jacky arrive on Shamouti Island. The locals tell them of a legend where three mythical birds, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres , rule their respective islands. At the same time, Gelardan, a Pokémon collector, captures the birds for his personal collection and thus alters the Earth 's natural climate to bring forth the Guardian of the Abyss, Lugia .
