Magic: The Gathering Tournament
The Magic: The Gathering Geneva association is organizing our big Magic: The Gathering tournament on Saturday August 12! From 10:30 a.m. you will have the opportunity to see the players compete in the Arcana arena and discover one of the biggest card games in the world.

During the tournament, the use of the Wizard's COMPANION app is highly recommended.
It allows the organizer to tell you who your next opponent is and on which table.
You can also enter the results of your last round in this app.

Material provided by the organizer:

Each participant will receive 6 draft boosters from the Lord of the Rings edition. Players who qualify for the top 8 will also receive 3 draft boosters from the Lord of the Rings edition.
Fields, results sheets and pens will be at your disposal.
Equipment not provided but recommended for each player:

Dice and protective sleeves for the cards are strongly recommended.

If you don't have one you can always buy some on site.
Tournament schedule:
​
The seal begins with the construction of your deck of at least 40 cards, to do this you open the 6 draft boosters of the Lord Of The Rings edition and select the best possible cards to lead you to victory. After construction you will have 5 rounds of 50 minutes each using your deck of 40 cards as well as the cards from your reserve.

If you are successful you can qualify for the top 8 and can therefore make the draft.
​
The draft will be done in 3 rounds by direct elimination (each player who loses is eliminated).
Prizes for the top8 after the draft:
​
1st: 18 Lord of the Rings Boosters + 2 old edition boosters
2nd: 9 Lord of the Rings boosters + 2 old edition boosters
3rd and 4th: 3 Lord of the Rings boosters + 2 old edition boosters
5th to 8th: 2 old edition boosters
Prizes for 9th and following at the end of the sealed:

9th to 11th: 1 Booster Lord of the Rings + 2 old edition booster packs
12th to 16th: 2 old edition boosters
17th to 32nd: 1 old edition boosters

50.- CHF per player (cash or TWINT) on site. Entrance to Arcana for the day on Sunday is included.
